Jammu-one of the southernmost region cuddled ad mist the Pir Panjal Mountains with rivers Ravi, Tawi and Chenab making their way through the terrain forming interesting land features. Some of the important attractions of Kashmir are: Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Chashma Shahi, Pari Mahal, Hazratbal Mosque, Jama Masjid, Shankaracharya Temple, Makhdoom Sahib, Martand, Awantipur. The Gulmarg mountain resort at an altitude of 2,650mtrs is the highest green golf course. Pahalgam is another famous hill station and Amarnath one of the important pilgrimage center.

Ladakh- this is another important and most desired place accessed by the tourists. It is situated at a comparatively high altitude and has breathtaking views of the Himalayan range.
