The white limestone is lined by veins of dark green rock that enhances the purity of t he surrounding marble.
Khajuraho is another famous tourist attractions in Madhya Pradesh. The temples are an excellent example of ancient Indian sculpture. Life in every mood has been captured in the stones of this temple. The temples were built within a short span of hundred years, from 950-1050 A.D. Of the 85 original temples only 22 have survived till date. The temples were trulty inspired by a burst of creativity. The temples at Khajuraho are considered as one of world's great artistic wonders. Sanchi is known for stupas, monastries, temples and pillars that dates around 3rd century B.C to 12th century A.D. The most famous of these monuments was the Sanchi Stupan that was originally built by Mauryan Emperor Ashoka. This is the famous tourist attractions in Madhya Pradesh that draws thousand of visitors every year, both Indian and international.
