  • Elephanta Caves: The Elephanta caves is one of the is one of the major tourist attractions n Maharashtra. This is just 10kms from the coast of Mumbai and is located on an island on the Arabian Sea. Here you will find sculptures of Shiva and Buddha which dates back to the 750 AD. To reach this place you can get ferry services and motor boats from Gateway of India.

  • Mumbai: This is popularly known as Bombay and is the main attraction of Maharashtra. This is the glamor hub of the country and is also the business capital of India as well. It is said that city was given as a dowry to Charles II of England by the Portuguese as he married Catherine. There are a large number of tourist attraction in and around Mumbai which includes Kamla Nehru Park, Shoe House, Taraporewala Aquarium and others.

  • Ajanta and Ellora Caves: These caves are situated in Aurangabad, a very important district of Maharashtra. These caves were discovered by some British Army officers who were on a tiger hunt. You will find excellent Buddha statues carved on the caves. The Waghora river is also a beautiful attraction here. The Ellora caves is situated on the Charanadari hills and there are various ancient temples located here.
  • Ganapatipule: This is a beach in Maharashtra which has always attracted a large number of tourists. This is known as Ganapati's own land. On the beach you will also find a beautiful temple of Ganapati. The serene beach and the small village of Ganapatipule offers to a memorable weekend.

  • Bibi Ka Maqbara: This is an important tourist attraction in Maharashtra. This tourist site is located in Aurangabad. This monument was built by Aurangazeb in the memory of his wife Rabia Durrani. This monument resembles the Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz.
